HPE leads $25m series-B for Uberall
HPE Growth Capital (formerly Holland Private Equity) has led a $25m series-B for Berlin-based location marketing company Uberall.
Previous backers Project A and United Internet have also taken part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development and expand internationally, with a focus on the US.
Previous funding
Project A led a seed round for Uberall in December 2012. It acquired a minority stake in the company for approximately €1m.
United Internet joined the board of investors after the company's $3.8m series-A round in April 2014, which was also led by Project A.
Company
Uberall was founded in 2013 by David Federhen, Florian Hübner and Josha Benner. The company is headquartered in Berlin and has additional offices in San Francisco, Cape Town and Paris. It helps companies with their marketing efforts towards growing offline sales. It uses a centralised application called the Location Marketing Cloud to do this, which helps with geo-targeted advertising. The firm employs 130 people.
