Triton-backed Norres buys De Bernardi
Germany-based industrial hose manufacturer Norres, a portfolio company of Triton, has bought Italy-based market peer De Bernardi.
The GP said in a statement that the acquisition is part of Norres's internationalisation strategy.
Triton bought a majority stake in Norres in October 2018 via its Smaller Mid-Cap fund. The vehicle held a final close in July 2018 on €448m, exceeding its target of €350m. The fund invests €20-50m in smaller mid-cap DACH-based and Nordic companies with enterprise values of €25-100m. It backs companies in the industrial, business services, consumer and healthcare sectors.
Norres was founded in 1989 and has 300 employees. With the acquisition of De Bernardi, the company now has six European locations, plus a site in the US.
Triton had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
