
Süd Beteiligungen invests in Fischer Panda
Süd Beteiligungen has acquired a stake in Germany-based power generators producer Fischer Panda.
Existing shareholders Hans-Joachim Herbermann, Stephan Backes and Bernd-Siegfried Bagusat will retain stakes in the company.
Following the investment, Fischer Panda intends to expand its position in the European, US and Asian markets, as well as to continue to develop its electromobility products.
Stuttgart-headquartered Süd Beteiligungen is a subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). The firm provides growth and mezzanine capital financing, and also invests in succession and spin-out deals. It invests in Mittelstand companies based in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany that have revenues of at least €20m, making investments of at least €2.5m.

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Paderborn, Fischer Panda produces mobile power generators, as well as electric and hybrid power drive systems. The generators and systems are generally used in yachts and boats. The company employs approximately 130 people and generated revenues of €34m in 2020.
