
Ariadne Capital backs Bloomy Days
Ariadne Capital has invested in Berlin-based online florist Bloomy Days’ series-A funding round.
Bloomy Days plans to expand into Switzerland with the fresh capital and deliver five days per week, up from the current Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday delivery service.
Business angels Lars Dittrich and Matthias Ummenhofer also took part in the round. The company previously received funding from Otto Capital in September 2014 and has so far raised between €5–9m, according to reports.

Bloomy Days is a subscription-based flower delivery service that enables customers to choose between weekly, fortnightly and monthly deliveries. The company has a team of 30 working at its Berlin headquarters.
Founded in 2012, Bloomy Days claims to have grown by 2000% in its first three years of operation. The company raised €100,000 in 93 minutes through crowdfunding in its first year.
