Venturecapital.de backs Ingenious Technologies
Venturecapital.de and other investors have backed Ingenious Technologies, an online marketing solutions provider, with a joint seven-figure capital injection.
The transaction was partly financed with debt. Venturecapital.de invested alongside Fidor Bank and all members of Ingenious's management, which now hold a stake of around 40%.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen and broaden the firm's production development and expand Ingenious's geographical footprint, first Europe-wide and then internationally.
Venturecapital.de has been invested in Ingenious since 2010, in what was the firm's first financing round. In 2012, Ingenious received two further funding rounds, with the overall aim of restructuring the company as part of a management buy-in.
Frankfurt-based Venturecapital.de currently holds 23 companies in its portfolio. The firm focuses on technology companies in the software, internet, mobile telecommunications and IT business services sectors.
Company
Ingenious is based in Munich, but recently opened a second office in Berlin. The firm runs subsidiaries in Poland, Austria and Spain.
The company, which provides online marketing solutions to its clients, was founded in 2004 and employs 45 staff.
The firm has only operated under the name of Ingenious Technologies since February this year. The change of name was part of an overall restructuring of the company's strategy in the last couple of years.
People
Christian Kleinsorge is Ingenious's CEO. He joined the firm as part of the restructuring process. Andreas Thümmler is managing director at Venturecapital.de.
