Hoxton Ventures leads $4.2m series-A for BD4Travel
Hoxton Ventures has led a $4.2m series-A investment round for BD4Travel, a German business-to-business software platform for the travel industry.
The fresh capital will enable BD4Travel to invest in new products and roll out its platform to new international markets.
Talis Capital and The Accelerator Group’s Robin Klein also took part in the round.
Upon completion of the deal, the company has appointed Simon Breakwell, founder of online travel platform Expedia and a partner at TCV, as chairperson.
The transaction marks Hoxton’s first foray into the German market. The VC has invested in two UK companies to date this year, leading an $18m round for cyber security business Darktrace and taking part in an Accel Partners-led $25m series-B for portfolio company Deliveroo.
