
EQT Ventures leads $30m series-B for Natural Cycles
EQT Ventures has led a $30m series-B round for Stockholm-based fertility app developer Natural Cycles.
Other backers include existing investors Sunstone, E-ventures and Swedish media group Bonnier.
With the fresh capital, the company intends to invest in clinical research, product development, recruitment and general expansion.
The EQT Ventures fund held a final close on €566m in May 2016. Alongside Point Nine Capital, the fund recently participated in a €2.1m funding round for Paris-headquartered CallDesk, a developer of software-as-a-service platform, in September 2017.

Natural Cycles raised a $6m series-A funding round from Bonnier Growth Media and existing investors Sunstone and E-ventures in 2016.
Company
Natural Cycles was launched in 2014 and is headquartered in Stockholm. The company's app has been certified as a non-hormonal contraceptive in the EU. It currently has around 500,000 users in 160 countries.
The company claims it uses an advanced and scientific algorithm to accurately predict when a woman is fertile and claims to be 93% effective. It employs a staff of 30.
