Gartner acquires Nauta-backed Nubera
US trade buyer Gartner has acquired Nauta Capital-backed Nubera, a Spanish software-as-a-service (SaaS) company.
The deal marks a return for Nauta’s third fund, which reached a final close in June 2011 on €150m.
Following completion of the deal, the business will expand its headcount and invest in new product development.
The sale comes eight months after Nauta was forced to write off its investment in UppTalk, a Barcelona-based developer of communication apps, which went into insolvency.
Previous funding
Nauta invested €800,000 in Nubera’s series-A funding round in October 2011. The capital was earmarked for a recruitment drive and the development of new products.
Company
Founded in 2010, Barcelona-headquartered Nubera is a SaaS provider. The company’s main products include business software aggregator GetApp and CloudWork, which integrates various types of professional files into cloud-based networks. Nubera generates revenues based on listing fees and commission.
People
Dominic Endicott, Carles Ferrer, Daniel Sánchez and Jordi Viñas are general partners at Nauta. Christophe Primault is CEO of Nubera.
