Jobandtalent raises €2.5m from Kibo Ventures et al.
Spanish venture capital investor Kibo Ventures has led a €2.5m funding round for recruitment firm Jobandtalent.
Existing shareholder Alfonso Villanueva was joined by new angel investor Felix Ruiz in the funding round. Jobandtalent has raised €1.1m so far in angel funding.
The company will use the fresh capital to improve the accuracy of its algorithm, which matches job seekers to vacancies based upon linguistic analysis. The firm also plans to increase user adoption in the UK and launch into the US and Latin America.
Company
Founded in 2009 and based in Madrid, Jobandtalent is a recruitment platform that users linguistic analysis to match job seekers to vacancies. The firm's algorithm searches job adverts and job seekers' CVs to make relevant pairings. If a relevant match is found, the platform sends a message to the candidate to notify them of the vacancy.
The platform also links to the job seeker's social networks to see if the seeker has any relevant connections linking them to the perspective employer who may be able to facilitate an introduction.
Customers include Accenture, Morgan Stanley and L'Oréal. The company has a UK base in London, 500,000 registered users and 20 members of staff.
People
Javier Torremocha, Aquilino Peña and José María Amusátegui are founding partners of Kibo.
