ProA Capital sells Clinica Eugin to NMC Health for €143m

The sale comprised 86.4% of shares in the business with the vendors includingProA, the company's founders and its management team.

Under the GP's tenure, Clinica Eugin undertook an international expansion strategy focused on Europe and Latin America, increasing its total headcount from around 140 to 230.

The acquisition forms part of NMC's strategy to expand its service offering to complement its existing women's health services.

Clinica Eugin's existing management team will remain in place following completion of the deal.

Previous funding
ProA Capital acquired Clinica Eugin in 2010 via a management buyout. The investment marked the GP's second investment from Iberian Buyout Fund I.

Company
Headquartered in Barcelona and founded in 1996, Clinica Eugin provides fertility treatments including IUI, IVF, ICSI, fertility preservation and genetic screening. The business generated a turnover of €34.3m in 2014 and EBITDA of €14m.
