Enterprise Ventures appoints new investment manager

SME-focused venture firm Enterprise Ventures has appointed Peter Rooney as investment manager.
Rooney will work on the Rosebud Finance team, a regional fund providing capital to Lancashire firms, managed by the VC on behalf of Lancashire County Council.
Rooney previously spent 35 years working for Barclays, including a spell of more than 17 years as relationship director.
Enterprise also announced it had appointed Katy Horrocks as marketing manager.
The VC stated the appointments form part of a strategy to increase its national activity. They follow the opening of a new Liverpool office last month.
Earlier this month, funds managed by Enterprise invested £2.5m in Winning Pitch, a UK business-coaching and support provider.
