
Pantheon acquired by AMG
Fund-of-funds manager Pantheon Ventures is to be acquired by US-based Affiliated Managers Group (AMG) for $775m.
Under the terms of the agreement, AMG will pay approximately $775m in cash with the potential for additional payments over the next five years depending on Pantheon's growth.
Following the completion of the deal, Pantheon's management will hold a considerable stake in the partnership and will continue to direct the firm's daily operations.
Pantheon Ventures manages regional fund-of-funds in Europe, the US and Asia as well as global secondaries and infrastructure fund-of-funds. The firm currently manages $22bn for more than 300 global clients, including pension funds, endowments, government bodies and insurance companies.
