
Global Founders invests in Brickvest
Global Founders Capital, the venture arm of Berlin-based incubator Rocket Internet, has invested in London online asset management platform Brickvest.
The investment comes as Brickvest prepares to launch its real estate and fund management platform. The business is currently collecting details from potential clients for early access.
The transaction value is undisclosed, although the VC typically makes commitments of €5-20m, according to unquote" data.
Global Founders is currently investing from its €150m maiden fund, which launched in 2013.
According to unquote” data, the Brickvest deal marks the firm’s second commitment to the London fintech market. In January 2014, Global Founders joined Redline Capital Management in a £5m round for working-capital loans provider Iwoca.
In a similar segment, Index Ventures recently led a £5.2m round for Property Partner, a London headquartered crowdfunding platform for buy-to-let properties. Property Partner had previously attracted investment from Octopus Investments.
