
Macro Ventures backs G2 Esports
Silicon Valley VC firm Macro Ventures has invested in a seed funding round for Berlin-based Esports team G2.
FC Barcelona midfielder André Gomes is also participating in the round, alongside family office Everblue and Brazilian sports investment firm Go4It.
The company will use the funding to invest in recruitment and marketing activity.

G2 Esports was founded in 2013 by former League of Legends professional Carlos Rodriguez. The firm now has a team in League of Legends as well as CS:GO, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Vainglory and Super Smash Bros.
