
Active leads €3m round for Ticketbis
Active Venture Partners has led a €3m round for Ticketbis, a Spanish ticket exchange platform.
The fresh capital was provided in the form of a convertible loan, with angel investors Fabrice Grinda and José María also taking part, alongside crowdfunding platform AngelList.
Following completion of the deal, Ticketbis will invest in further expansion across Asia, developing its mobile platform and existing product development. The latest investment brings the total amount raised by the business to €14m.
Active's contribution to the round was drawn from Amerigo Innvierte Spain Ventures.
Previous funding
Active led a €5.2m round for Ticketbis in October 2014 to fund the business's expansion in Asia.

Madrid-based Ticketbis is an online platform for the purchase and sale of tickets to events in Europe, Latin America and Asia. The company, which has a headcount of 350, was founded in 2009 and now operates in 30 countries.
