
Seed Capital leads €500,000 round for Plytix
Danish venture capital firm Seed Capital has led a €500,000 round for Plytix, a Spanish big-data platform serving the consumer sector.
The company, which was based in Copenhagen until recently, will use the fresh capital to open new headquarters in Malaga and employ a new sales team.
The investment round comes a few months after Seed Capital held a DKK 500m first close for its third fund, which primarily makes early-stage investments in Danish IT and medtech startups.
According to unquote" data, Plytix is just the second startup Seed Capital has backed outside the Nordic region. It previously backed German data analysis business HumanGrid twice, in 2009 and 2010.
Company
Founded in 2014, Malaga-headquartered Plytix allows businesses to track consumers' behaviour across a multitude of online shops, thus providing feedback on how their product is performing on various platforms. It retains a satellite office in Copenhagen.
