Business services
Five Arrows’ Mintec, a British provider of food commodity pricing, has acquired AgriBriefing, a local peer pricing agricultural commodities, from Horizon Capital. Five Arrows acquired Mintec in February 2022; previous Mintec owner Synova remains reinvested via Synova Fund IV (2019).
BC Partners’ Valtech, a British provider of IT services, has acquired US-based Tome Software, an IoT specialist. BC invested in Valtech at a USD 1.4bn valuation in July 2021 via BC European Capital XI.
OMERS-backed Trescal, a French calibration services provider, has made five acquisitions across Switzerland, South Korea, Scandinavia, Australia and Malaysia that collectively generate EUR 25m in sales. EQT Infrastructure entered exclusivity to acquire Trescal in November 2022 and the company told Mergermarker it is actively looking for further bolt-ons across APAC, India, Latin America and CEE.
Capvis’ Business Systems Integration (BSI), a Swiss CRM software provider, has bought inSign, a local peer offering digital signature solutions. Capvis acquired the company in August 2020 via Capvis Equity 5 (2018).
Technology
ICG’s Circet, a French telecoms group, has acquired local telecoms services peer Scopelec, to add EUR 475m in revenue. ICG acquired Circet in May 2021 from Apax for around EUR 3.2bn.
Hg Capital’s Trackunit, a Danish developer of tracking devices for construction fleets, has acquired German peer Flexcavo. Hg acquired Trackunit in March 2021.
Industrials
IK Partners’ Batisante, a French fire safety business, has acquired two local peers Securitec Incendie and Protech Incendie. IK acquired Batisante in April 2022 via IK IX (2019).
Equistone’s Andra Tech Group, a Dutch precision mechanical components manufacturer, has acquired German peer Mayer Feintechnik, its first bolt-on under the sponsor’s ownership. Equistone invested in the group in December 2022.
Abris Capital’s Velvet Care, a Polish tissue manufacturer, has acquired Almus, a local producer of hygienic and industrial paper products. Abris acquired Velvet in March 2018 via Mid Market Fund III (2016).
IK Partners’ Plastiflex, a Belgian hose manufacturer, has acquired Walter Potthoff, a German moulding manufacturing hub. IK acquired Plastiflex in October 2021 via IK Small Cap III (2021).
Media
Carlyle’s Jagex, a British video game developer known for Runescape, has acquired Gamepires, a Croatian peer that made SCUM. Carlyle acquired Jagex in January 2021 via CP VII (2018) and CETP IV (2019) funds.
Queen Park Equity’s FutureDeluxe, a UK-based creative design agency, has acquired Canadian peer Tendril to form a new group called Forever. QPE acquired the company in February 2022 via QPE I (2020).
Financial services
AnaCap’s Fintus, a German automation fintech, has acquired local peer Finstreet, which provides digital transformation for the financial services sector. AnaCap acquired Fintus in November 2021.
Polaris’ The North Group, a Danish provider of independent financial advice, has acquired Realkreditkonsulenterne, a local mortgage consultant. The sponsor has backed four bolt-ons since it formed the group in April 2021 via Polaris Private Equity Fund V (2019).
Cairngorm Capital’s Verso Wealth Management, a London-based wealth management platform, has acquired IEP Financial, the company’s fifth acquisition in 2022 Cairngorm acquired Verso in September 2021 via Cairngorm Capital Partners III (2019).
IK Partners' LSA Courtage, a French insurance broker, has acquired Atara, a local publisher of websites linking breeders to pet buyers to support its animal health insurance product. IK acquired LSA in January 2021 via IK Small Cap II (2017).
Healthcare
Five Arrow’s Sygnature Discovery, a UK-based CRO, has acquired local peer SB Drug Discovery, the company’s second bolt-on under the sponsor’s ownership. Five Arrows acquired the business in June 2021 for GBP 300m.
Waterland’s SCIRIS, a British healthcare comms and compliance provider, has acquired UK-based Source Health Economics, a local provider of health technology and economics assessments. Waterland formed SCIRIS in 2020, making six bolt-ons in that time.
Sentica’s Hammas Hohde, a Finnish dental group, has acquired the dental operations of local outpatient group Pihlajalinna, to add around EUR 16m in revenues. Sentica acquired the group in November 2018.
Consumer services
Triton’s Sunweb, a Swiss package holiday operator, has acquired Swedish peer Airtours to complement its Danish business. Triton acquired Sunweb in December 2018 via Triton V (2018).
