Partners Group raises $800m for debt programme
Partners Group has raised more than $800m for its senior secured leverage loan-focused Private Market Credit Strategies and private debt mandates.
The Private Market Credit Strategies 2013 initiative will target transactions in the secured debt market and aim to fill the gap left by cash-constrained banks, expiring European CLOs, as well as take advantage of the strong demand for refinancings.
The programme will aim to invest heavily over the next 12 months and build up its portfolio within that period, as Partners believes there is strong demand for senior loans.
The fresh capital raised forms part of a programme, rather than a formal LP structured vehicle. Within this, individual clients can opt for specific mandates, whereby Partners will deploy capital within a chosen investment strategy.
Partners will look to repeat this strategy over the coming years in order to provide investors with quick returns.
